Dear Club Racer,

The BMW Car Club of Canada - Trillium Chapter hereby invites you to our fourth annual "Mosport Dayze" combination Advanced Driver’s School and BMW CCA club race event to be held at Mosport International Raceway September 6-8, 2002. Come join us at the completely modernized and repaved 2.6 mile, ten turn track Niki Lauda called one of the very best in the world. Try the famous Turn Two-- considered one of the ten best in the world by Car and Driver-- for yourself. The track now fully complies with FIA 2001 safety specs, and it is quicker and safer than ever before.

This three-day event will feature a lapping day on Friday for racers, instructors and advanced students only. Races and preliminary events will be held Saturday and Sunday. Saturday events will conclude with a 30-minute sprint race. There will also be a one-hour Enduro on Sunday, with a mandatory five-minute pit stop. The supplemental Enduro rules will be mailed to applicants in their acceptance package. Please note that under Enduro rules, driver changes are allowed. Alternate drivers must be registered as well. Please indicate on the application form if you will be part of a two-driver Enduro entry.

Mosport is located about one hour east of Toronto near Bowmanville, Ontario. If you would like a detailed description of the track itself and directions to get there please consult the BMW CC web site at: www.BMWclub.ca. Additional information can also be found at the Mosport site at: www.mosport.com/.

An application for the event is attached (PDF versions are also available, see below). The application may be photocopied, but only registered BMW CCA Club Racers will be admitted. We are limiting the number of racers who may register; we do not have the opportunity to expand to two race groups.

Registration costs for this three-day event are $375.00 US . That is for all three days, and includes dinner Saturday night. If you take advantage of our early bird discount registration, however, you will save $50.00. Send your application accompanied by a deposit check in the amount of $50.00 by August 14 to qualify for the savings. The remaining payment ($275.00 US) will be due by September 1, or your deposit and spot in the race will be forfeited. Any racer who is unable to attend due to mechanical problems which can be confirmed will receive a full refund.

The Howard Johnson/Flying Dutchman hotel in Bowmanville (905) 623-3373 will be the official event hotel. Rooms have set aside at a special rate; just mention the BMW CC. Please reserve early; this is a popular time of year and the hotel fills up fast.

Your fee includes dinner Saturday night. Additional tickets can be purchased for $20.00 US each.

Please note that race fuel and 94 octane will be available at the track. Pirelli Canada and the Tire Werks will provide complete trackside tire service. Please call Peter Gregory at (905) 670-9791 in advance for your tire needs.
