Phil Abrami, Montréal

I participated in my first BMW driving school in the early 1980s and by the mid 80s I became a driving school instructor. I currently instruct for the BMW CC, chapters in the BMW CCA, and other car clubs. I have wanted to race for a long time but never found a series which suited me until the BMW CCA Club Racing Programme came along.

I named my racing "team" JAVA Racing after my family, J-essica, A-llison, and V-alerie A-brami. I did my first race in 1996 and look forward to the coming season with great enthusiasm where I will be participating in a 1988 E30 M3 in J-stock.

My car is sponsored by HMS Motosport, Bavarian Autopsort, Somerled Service, and S & M Motorsports.

I am currently the Canadian representative on the BMW CCA Club Racing Advisory Committee and the co-chair for the two Canadian club races to be held in 1999.

Here is my car on display at the BMW Canada M-Gathering.

The event was held on Peel Street, downtown Montréal, outside of Chez Alexandre on Saturday evening before the 2000 Montreal F1 GP race.

The young ladies in the picture were models attired in BMW F1 fashion who spent most of their time near that race car and only a little time near mine.
