The Atlantic Motorsport Track (AMP) is located in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, Canada. This track hosts BMW driving schools as does Mosport and Le Circuit. The track was built in 1974.

See their new web site at http://www.atlanticmotorsportpark.com/. new!

AMP is approximately 1.6 miles long (2.5 kms) and has 11 turns. The track has an elevation change of about 80 feet from the highest to the lowest points. The majority of the track can be seen from most viewing areas and the "tower" provides an uninterrupted view of the entire facility.

Driver's Description

Direction: clockwise.

One of AMP's greatest challenges is the downhill "dog-leg" through corners 1 and 2, followed by the roller-coaster ride through corners 4,5, and 6. It is highly regarded as one of the most technical circuits in the country, and provides a challenging learning experience for both novice and advanced drivers alike.

Directions

Here are directions (a couple of different routes) to AMP. I must caution you--I've not driven the route but apparently you just follow the signs...

By the way, the AMP is 19 hours from Toronto!

Route from Halifax

  1. Take highway 102 north from Halifax.
  2. Exit highway 102 at exit 9. This exit is for highway 14 to Shubenacadie, Milford, and Rawdon. Hold right onto local road to "T" intersection.
  3. Just beyond sign for highway 2 there is a stop sign. Turn left for highway 2 north, Shubenacadie, Wildlife Park, and Stewlacke. Drive for 4.4 kilometres.
  4. Make a hard left at sign for Mill Village and McPhee Corner. You know you're on the right road because you'll see a sign 15 metres after your turn for Mac Mic, Mill Village, McPhee Corner, and Motorsport Park. Keep going for 2.7 kms.
  5. The road forks but there is a sign at the head of the fork. Keep to the right for Georgefield, McPhee's Corner, and Motorsport Park. Continue to 2.3 kms.
  6. You'll see a sign for North Salem and Motorsport Park. Turn right just after this sign and continue for 2.7 kms. Pavement ends. Next sign is 2.5 kms from end of pavement.
  7. Turn right onto Creighton Road. Note the sign to Atlantic Motorsport Park. Drive 1.2 kms. Get your money out, here comes the main gate. Welcome to AMP!
